Second Life
Many people might see Second Life just as a playground online. Nevertheless, it is been used for many other purposes. It is used as a way to help abused children to rediscover their communication skills, to create a source for disabled people to socialize just as anyone else and so forth. As the Growing Up presentation showed, people can create a whole new different person and be whoever they want to be. In addition, it is so much easier to socialize with people you actually do not know in real life and talk to different people around the globe at the same time. Obama, in his campaign, by using these technologies, he got to spread his messages to gigantic group of people in really short period of time.

Great points, thanks for your post. MyBO has changed how presidential candidates will be communicating with voters over the web, especially young voters. We are truly in the middle of a change in the way the world communicates and when it comes to politics, MyBO is the template for future social networking between candidates and voters of all types.
ReplyDeleteinternet has became another world of our "playing ground". However it can also used as a life time experiences. We all know that the My space is a web place to share your personal life. To enjoy others wonderful life. Within it we learn from each other and experiences a totally different world other than yourself.
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that people use second life for more then just a playground. Who would think that a computer game would be helping people all around the world? I think Second life is a great tool that can be used in many different ways. I think it sould be explored and exploited for the general good of the people. It should also be free.
